How to get lae zel good ending in BG3? ›

If you free Orpheus, he'll offer to make the sacrifice. If you let him, he'll request that Lae'zel take his dragons and fly to the Astral Plane in order to liberate the Githyanki people from Vlaakith in his stead.

You can obey Vlaakith or choose to side with Orpheus, and your decision will change Lae'zel's fate at the end of the game. Generally speaking, you shouldn't force Lae'zel to obey Vlaakith. If she goes against Vlaakith, Lae'zel leaves for the Astral Plane at the end of the game and leads a rebellion to save her people.

If you completely ignore Lae'zel or persuade the Tieflings to leave but don't free her, she will eventually escape by herself and make her way to the Gith'yanki patrol near the Mountain Pass. Here she will have another chance to join you if you're able to negotiate with the Gith.

There's a high DC persuasion roll to keep Lae'zel (and prevent Kith'rak Voss from attacking) while siding with the Emperor. So, it's possible. It does obviously affect her ending though. Pretty sure you need high approval with her to simplify this considerably.

But let's talk romance: while Baldur's Gate 3 has a number of intriguing romance paths, Shadowheart's is easily the most popular, with 51.3% players completing her romance arc (which you can find a walkthrough of here). It turns out she really is God's favorite princess and the most interesting girl in the world.

If you choose to transform, Lae'zel will likely return with Orpheus to free her people from Vlaakith. If you allow the Emperor to kill and assimilate Orpheus, Lae'zel will likely abandon the party unless you succeed in a very difficult check.

You should enter the artifact because even if you do, you still do not have to do what Vlaakith or anyone else says, and you will get to meet your Guardian face-to-face. If you do not obey Vlaakith, she will kill your entire party, and you must restart. You must at least pretend to go along with the orders.

The reason why players shouldn't do this is that using the Zaith'isk on anyone will actually inflict a permanent debuff on them, and it's going to be especially brutal to Lae'zel. Once Lae'zel sits on the Zaith'isk, the machine will start violently "purifying" her of the tadpole.

For a millennia old lich, even one as powerful as Vlaakith, that aging could destroy her body without proper preparations in advance. Also, as powerful as she is, she is not a goddess. She's not a god. She's a lich with dreams of godhood absorbing the souls of her followers trying to propel herself there.

If fans choose to kill Lae'Zel, the Tieflings will release her from the cage, after which the fight will begin. At this point, gamers will have a second chance to save this Githyanki fighter. However, if they choose to side with the Tieflings, players will kill Lae'Zel with a few hits.

How to trigger lae zel romance? ›

Make your way through the Nautiloid until you trigger a cutscene in which Lae'zel appears, ready to cut you to ribbons. Once she realizes you both share the same breed of Illithid parasite, Lae'zel will suggest you travel together. Take her up on this offer and she will officially join your party.

She generally approves of assertive and aggressive behavior, standing up to oppressors, and respecting strength. Disapproval often arises from showing weakness, compromising or avoiding conflict, or making decisions she perceives as cowardly or dishonorable.

Freeing Orpheus in Baldur's Gate 3 can result in the party becoming mind flayers, leading to a gloomy ending. Siding with the Emperor means losing a character and facing a harder Netherbrain fight. The choice in BG3 is a sacrifice, with no real winner, and all options mean losing something in return.

At the start of Act 3, the Emperor will tell players that keeping Orpheus contained is the only thing preventing the party from turning into Illithids. Naturally, if Orpheus is freed, one or all the members of the party may be doomed to become Mind Flayers.

He leans more toward evil than neutral. He's willing to kill his best friend and literally enslave the world using the Nether Brain. He even joins the Nether Brain if you don't side with him. He has no soul, as all illithids don't, and it's proven by his actions when you even slightly act against him.

Supporting Lae'zel in her attempt to use this device to remove the tadpole results in the player-created character gaining a lot of approval, which can help them avoid losing Lae'zel as a companion during this area of the campaign.

Afterwards, Lae'zel will take you to watch the sunrise. You can select any of the options for the first prompt, then select the following: "I've been waiting so long to hear those words. I will stay with you, come what may"

To get the good ending (or the standard story ending), you'll need to defeat the Netherbrain in the final battle of Act Three then command it to destroy itself, along with all the Ilithid Tadpoles.
